Jordan's JFDA becomes the 57th PIC/S Participating Authority

What PIC/S reported

JFDA sent a complete membership application in January 2021, after it finished the pre-accession process. PIC/S then ran a paper assessment. An on-site assessment visit followed in April 2025. The audit team recommended that the Committee accept the application, and the Sub-Committee on Compliance endorsed it.

The Committee then decided unanimously, at its Hong Kong meeting on 3-4 November 2025, that JFDA would take part in PIC/S from 1 January 2026.

What the notice does not say

Source for this section is the PIC/S news item dated 1 January 2026. The item is about membership only. It names no rule change, no inspection plan and no plant. It does not say how JFDA will apply the PIC/S GMP Guide to licences held by manufacturers in Jordan.

What a facility owner should check next

Ask JFDA in writing which GMP guide and which annexes it applies to your licence today. Do not assume the PIC/S guide applies in full until the authority says so.

Then make your cleanroom file easy to read against the PIC/S GMP Guide. That means your user requirements, room classification reports and qualification records. Keep them dated and signed off, so an inspector can follow the trail from design to routine use.
