What information is needed to quote cleanroom panels?
Start with the wall and ceiling drawings, panel core, finished thickness, facing material, dimensions, quantities and delivery location. Add the project fire requirements, cleaning process and any structural or installation constraints. If a detail is undecided, identify it as an open item so suppliers can quote comparable alternatives.
ZY Cleanroom supplies cleanroom sandwich panels and associated doors and access components. Send a specification or drawing to [email protected] for a project review.
Cleanroom wall panels and ceiling panels: what should buyers compare?
A wall panel quotation and a ceiling panel quotation should identify their intended installation separately. Ask the supplier to document the proposed support arrangement, panel connections and loading assumptions. Do not assume a ceiling is walkable because its panel thickness matches a wall panel.
| Specification item | Information to provide or request |
|---|---|
| Wall layout | Room dimensions, panel heights, corners, junctions and door/window openings. |
| Ceiling layout | Grid or suspension design, spans, service openings and intended access requirements. |
| Core and facing | Material type, steel or other facing specification, coating, colour and finish. |
| Joints and accessories | Connection profiles, edge details, sealants, coving and interfaces with adjacent systems. |
| Performance evidence | Reports that match the offered panel assembly and the project acceptance criteria. |
| Delivery | Destination, preferred trade terms, packing, unloading and installation responsibilities. |
How do you compare rock wool, PU, phenolic and honeycomb panels?
Compare documented performance for the actual offered construction. Review thermal performance, weight, facing, moisture suitability, support requirements and applicable fire evidence. The core name alone is insufficient to approve the complete panel assembly.
Use our panel core material guide to organise questions, then compare PU and phenolic panels and honeycomb panels against the same project specification. Confirm whether any proposed alternative changes panel connections, openings or supporting components.
Does a cleanroom panel have an ISO cleanliness class?
ISO 14644-1 classifies air cleanliness by particle concentration in cleanrooms and clean zones. It does not assign a room's air cleanliness class merely from the chosen wall-panel core. A panel purchase should be coordinated with the room design, air system, installation and agreed testing scope.
Reference: ISO 14644-1:2015, official scope and standard information. Consult the applicable standard and project specialists for the required assessment.
What affects the price of cleanroom sandwich panels?
Ask suppliers to separate the panel specification, quantity, accessories, packing, transport and service scope. An area price is difficult to compare when one quote includes profiles and cut-outs while another includes only panels. Request a drawing reference and a list of inclusions and exclusions with each offer.
