Cleanroom Project RFQ Checklist

Prepare comparable quotations for cleanroom engineering, panels, doors and air equipment.

Published 2 October 2026 · ZY Cleanroom

What should a cleanroom project enquiry include?

Provide the project location, industry, process description, layout drawings, room areas, target cleanliness requirements and expected schedule. State whether you need components only, engineering support, installation or a broader project scope. A room quotation is more useful when responsibility for each system and acceptance activity is clear.

A scope checklist for your request for quotation

AreaInformation to include
Process and roomsRoom uses, equipment layout, people and material routes, operating conditions.
Cleanliness targetsRequired standard or class, assessment conditions and applicable project requirements.
EnclosureWall and ceiling layout, panel specifications, doors, windows and penetration details.
Air systemsDesign information available for airflow, pressure relationships, temperature and humidity.
Equipment interfacesFilters, terminal units, transfer equipment, utilities and responsibility for connections.
Site and deliveryBuilding conditions, access, destination, installation scope and schedule.
AcceptanceRequired drawings, reports, inspection stages, testing and handover documents.

Where do panels, doors, air showers and pass boxes fit?

Specify wall and ceiling panels, cleanroom doors and observation windows from the enclosure drawings. Coordinate air purification equipment and filters with the air-system design.

Discuss personnel or cargo air showers and pass boxes in the context of your people and material transfer procedures. Identify equipment dimensions, installation interfaces, controls and the evidence required by your specification.

Does an ISO class guarantee GMP compliance?

A request for an ISO air cleanliness class and a request for GMP compliance describe different acceptance concerns. ISO 14644-1 addresses air cleanliness classification by particle concentration. State the applicable industry and jurisdictional requirements separately in the RFQ, and agree the design, documentation and assessment responsibilities with the project team.

Reference: ISO 14644-1:2015 official scope. This checklist is for procurement planning; it does not certify a room or replace a project-specific compliance assessment.

How can overseas buyers compare project quotations?

Ask each bidder to return an inclusion/exclusion list and identify open technical items. Separate design, supply, packing, shipping, installation, commissioning and testing costs where relevant. Check that all bidders use the same drawing revision and acceptance requirements before comparing totals.

Send a useful first enquiry

Include your country, room use, approximate area, available layout and the supply or engineering scope you want reviewed. If drawings or target classes are not ready, describe the process and mark those details as undecided. Our cleanroom engineering page explains the project discussion scope.
